CT250 Concrete Groover / Shaver / Scabbler

The CT250 Farmyard Groover, Concrete Planer Scabbler is our most aggressive pedestrian controlled machine and is ideal where significant material has to be removed. The 180 mm diameter drum is fitted with 60 mm cutters which are rotated by powerful motors and generate high speed ‘cutting’ forces giving the CT250 exceptional performance, far in excess of many larger machines. Experience has shown that a 250 mm drum width is the optimum for productivity and operator comfort on a "pedestrian" controlled planer. The CT250 is available powered by a 7.5kW electric motor or a 13 hp Honda petrol engine. Both versions are available with powered drive/travel options for a controlled feed and greater productivity.

The CT 250 long life drum assembly is massively strong, with 16mm flail shafts and full width hexagonal drive. The 60 mm dia TCT, Beam or Milling cutters can be fitted in various  configurations for a wide range of applications including the ever popular grooving of concrete floors in cowsheds. A complete range of tungsten tipped cutters are available for most applications including “milling” cutters for the removal of thick thermoplastic road markings and similar. All cutters and cutter drum assemblies are manufactured in Germany by our partners for over thirty years. As a result we rarely have to apologise for poor quality and we can easily justify a slightly higher price than our competitors! CT250 Power Drive & Diamond Planer

CT250 Power Drive is available with a three phase, 7.5 kW electric motor or  Honda 11hp petrol-engine. The integral drive motor is powered from the main electric supply or from an alternator fitted to Honda engined models, the latter providing total independence from an electrical power supply. The ability to control and maintain a constant speed ensures even planing and a consistent finish to the surface.

The variable speed drive improves productivity, control and surface finish, greatly reducing operator fatigue. Used with TCT or Milling Cutters consistent results can be produced over extended periods. Operating the cutter drum in the reverse direction, up-cutting, the CT250 will remove the toughest of coatings with minimal operator effort.

The Diamond Planing head and standard ‘flail’ drum are interchangeable on the CT250. The Planing head can be configured to deliver  any groove or channel profile required within the working width of 250mm. Combined with the accurate control features of the Power Drive system, the Diamond Planing head achieves a uniform finish with low levels of noise and vibration.
