POWER SUPPLY & CABLE GUIDANCE
Reliable power supply is essential for consistent grinding performance and long machine life.
- Fitted with a 32 A 110 V plug to reduce voltage drop issues.
- Use a correctly sized 5 kVA transformer for 110 V operation.
- Keep extension leads as short as possible and use heavy-duty cable setups.
- PWM can manufacture custom power leads and supply power-testing meters.
→ Heavy-duty industrial cables and transformers
ENGINEER NOTE
Smaller single-phase grinders can lose performance when used with undersized transformers or long extension leads. For reliable grinding pressure and motor performance, PWM recommends a correctly sized transformer and heavy-duty cable setup, particularly on 110 V applications.
APPLICATION EXPERTISE – PRECISION & CONTROL
The variable-speed system gives excellent control across multiple surface preparation applications:
- Lower speeds for fine sanding of wood floors and polishing stone or terrazzo surfaces.
- Standard 70 kg grinding pressure suitable for small to medium floor preparation projects.
- Optional weights available for more aggressive grinding on hard concrete surfaces.
SUITABLE APPLICATIONS
- Concrete grinding and coating removal
- Wood floor sanding and preparation
- Stone and terrazzo polishing
- Surface levelling and floor preparation
- Fine sanding before sealing or refinishing
